A child stares at a report card he does not want to show anyone. That was the first frame of a film we recently made for School Sherpa, an educational institution based in Nepal. The brief was simple on paper: a boy struggling with his marks discovers the app, learns better, and finally sees his grades change. And more students find their way to it every day. Simple story. Not a simple production. Because the moment a story runs across an arc, the same child has to look like the same child in every shot. The mood has to hold from the low point to the turn. Rooms, light, texture, and pacing all have to belong to one world. So we built it like a film, not a patch of generated cuts. Characters locked before we scaled the shots. A mood defined before the first output. VFX compositing and motion graphics layered in to carry the app's role in the narrative. Sound design added last, because realism is often heard before it is seen. AI gave us speed and our production thinking gave us the film. Bluntly put, generation is just one part of production. Everything after it decides whether a brand can actually use the work. What do you think is the hardest thing to hold together in an AI-led film: character, mood, or continuity?
